In celebration of World Oceans Week, Novotel Nha Trang continued its sustainability journey with a fish release activity at Dam Bay and Hon Mun on the morning of June 14. These areas are among the few locations in Nha Trang Bay that still preserve their unique natural marine ecosystems.
As part of the initiative, the hotel released 1,500 juvenile fish, including pompano and clownfish, back into the ocean. The activity aims to support the regeneration of marine resources and contribute to restoring ecological balance in local waters.
Pompano play an important role in the marine food chain, helping maintain natural balance by regulating populations of smaller organisms and supporting a stable aquatic environment. Meanwhile, clownfish, one of the most recognizable symbols of tropical oceans, share a close symbiotic relationship with sea anemones, contributing to the protection and resilience of coral reef ecosystems.
The presence of these species helps enhance marine biodiversity and supports the development of a healthier and more sustainable ocean environment.
This fish release initiative follows the hotel’s 2025 environmental project, during which more than 1,000 mangrove trees were planted in Dam Bay to help strengthen coastal ecosystems.
Through meaningful and practical actions, Novotel Nha Trang not only strives to provide memorable hospitality experiences for its guests but also seeks to inspire environmental responsibility within the local community.
Every small action today—from planting a tree to releasing a school of fish into the sea—can contribute to creating a more positive and sustainable future.
The journey to protect nature continues, and Novotel Nha Trang believes that, together with the community, sustainable values can create an even greater impact for generations to come.
